These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AutocratTech website, online store, and services. By using our website, booking a repair, placing an order, or signing off on a project quote, you accept these Terms in full.
AutocratTech ("we", "us", "our") is a South African technology services business (registration number K2025827311), trading via https://autocrattech.com, offering electronics repairs, website and application development, SEO and digital marketing, and AWS cloud management.
We diagnose faults before beginning repair work and will provide an estimate for your approval. Diagnostics may reveal additional issues not visible at intake; we will contact you before proceeding with any work beyond the original quote.
Repair work on electronic devices carries inherent risk, particularly on devices that are already damaged, water-affected, or have prior unauthorised repairs. We take reasonable care throughout, but cannot guarantee that every device will be restored to full working condition, and will advise you if a device is not repairable.
Repairing your device may require our technicians to access its operating system or storage. We limit access strictly to what is needed to diagnose and complete the repair.
You are responsible for backing up your data before handing over a device for repair. While we take reasonable care, we are not liable for data loss that occurs during the repair process, particularly on devices with pre-existing faults.
We design and build business websites and e-commerce stores based on the scope agreed in your quote. Revisions beyond what is agreed in the quote may be billed separately as a change request.
Custom application projects are scoped individually. Given the technical complexity of custom software, timelines are estimates rather than guarantees, and we will communicate proactively if scope or timeline needs to shift.
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and rights clearance of any content, images, copy, or branding you provide to us for use in your project.
Our SEO and digital marketing services aim to improve your website’s visibility and performance over time.
We configure, manage, and advise on AWS cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, general IT consulting, and AI automation workflows based on the scope agreed with you.
Each project is delivered against the scope set out in your quote or statement of work. Requests for additional features, pages, or functionality beyond that scope are treated as change requests and quoted separately before we begin that work.
Timely feedback, content, and access from you (for example, to domain registrars, hosting, or third-party accounts) are often required for us to keep a project on schedule. Delays on your side may affect the project timeline.
Once a project is paid in full, ownership of the final custom deliverables (design and code built specifically for you) transfers to you, excluding any third-party software, plugins, themes, or licences used within the project, which remain governed by their own licence terms.
We may reference completed projects in our own portfolio and marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing.
Where we register or manage a domain or hosting account on your behalf, you remain the ultimate owner of that domain. Ongoing hosting and maintenance are covered under a separate agreement or retainer if you choose to continue that service with us after project delivery.
We aim to keep our website, online store, and communication channels available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, particularly during maintenance or circumstances outside our control.
Any confidential business information you share with us for a project is treated as confidential and used only for the purpose of delivering that project.
Either party may cancel an ongoing engagement with reasonable notice. Repair, deposit, and refund treatment on cancellation is governed by our Refund Policy, and physical product returns are governed by our Returns Policy.
We may suspend or terminate a project or service if payment terms are not met, or if you use our services for an unlawful purpose.
We warrant that our services will be performed with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and to the extent permitted by South African law, we do not offer warranties beyond those stated in this document or the specific warranty terms provided at the time of a repair or project.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content, instructions, or materials you provide to us.
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can attempt to resolve it directly; you retain any rights available to you under applicable South African consumer law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
